After droning on through so many lengthy tomes, I can finally offer a post under 500 words!  When I told my father-in-law that Soul Lost is about 250 pages on Kindle and over 300 in print, he said, “Wow! That’s a lot.”  Don’t know why he is surprised: he knows that once I start talking it is hard to shut me up.

Nonetheless, I feel I have to mark the payment of my first royalties from Amazon.  Royalties! Like a real writer!  Ok, ok, so we aren’t going to be able to retire on it, but it is a start, isn’t it?

More significantly, it means I am truly a professional writer–someone who gets paid for writing.  That is the realization of a lifelong dream, and hopefully the first step to success in the only “career” I ever wanted for myself.  Keep your fingers crossed for me, that I will find my audience and sell enough books to write full-time.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has purchased it so far!
