Beefaroni


1 lb. ground beef
chopped onion
clove minced garlic
14-oz. can tomato sauce
oregano to taste, approximately 2 tbsp.
garlic powder to taste (optional)
onion powder to taste (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
box of ziti (or other tube pasta)
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 block sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Saute beef, onion and garlic; drain grease. Mix in tomato sauce and seasonings.
Cook pasta in salted, boiling water in Dutch oven. Drain water.
Return pasta to Dutch oven. Mix in butter or margarine and 2/3 cheese. Mix in beef-tomato mixture.
Spread in greased, 9×13 pan. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 cheese on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
